Job description: Assist the Webmaster in the creation of email newsletters, Banner advertisements, and client websites. Also research and implement backlinks to drive website traffic, and other programming tasks (if qualified). Assist in content management duties, generation of web statistics reports, Facebook and Twitter updates and social media marketing efforts
Skills required: HTML/CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
Good to have: Mac OS X experience, PHP scripting, Flash (basic Actionscript / timeline-based animation)

Editorial Internship
Job Description: Editorial Assistant for busy, exciting Hamptons weekly. Depending upon qualifications, internship could include assignments for stories that would be published in Dan's Papers. Graphic Designer Internship for Dan’s Papers - Summer 2010

This is a great opportunity for students seeking future employment in the graphic design industry. You will be working directly with the Art Director and creative team at Dan’s Papers, assisting in all areas of production of advertisements in the paper, including creating ads, scanning images, color correction, etc.
Job description: Assist the Art Director and Creative team at Dan’s Papers in the creation of advertisements for both Dan’s Papers and the Montauk Pioneer, as well as promotional materials for both publications. Will work with sales representatives as part of your everyday duties.
Must be proficient in: QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat Professional

Web content developer unpaid intenship for Summer 2010
Job description: Assist the Webmaster and Web Editor in the creation of original content for our website. This might include digital photography of East End Business establishments, research on East End businesses for our Insider Guide and Dan's Depot properties, researching and writing articles for Dan's Daily news, and other tasks as deemed necessary.
Skills required: You must own a digital camera, and have decent photography skills. Computer skills are not a requirement, but they would be helpful. Writing skills or an interest in the publishing industry a plus.

Special Events Internship at Dan's Papers - Summer 2010 (unpaid)
Hands on experience at organizing and running events in the Hamptons.
Dan's Papers is offering the opportunity for a couple of select interns to spend time this summer working on a variety of fundraising events. Interns will be assisting with planning and implementing the events Dan's Papers is regularly involved in (a 5k Run, a Kite Fly and a business cocktail party) as well as working on new events to celebrate Dan's Papers 50th Anniversary (including an art show and possibly a fashion show as well as several smaller events). Internship would involve, keeping track of sales/donations, making phone calls to update information, helping manage sponsors involvement, promoting the events, working on invitations,running errands, working with any event committees, set up at event, hands on experience the day/night running the events.
Skills should include: Proficientcy with Word and Excel, good phone skills
Good to be: a multi tasker, people person and have helped organize school events etc.
Please send your resume, a description of any event type work you have been involved with (be creative - helping organize your High School Prom, March of Dimes work etc. would all count) and what your role was. Should have own transportation and be available for some time on occasional weekends.
